Art is a tool that can be used to express what is happening in the world, and that’s what the students of 10th grade did.
Nowadays, climate change is a topic that we all must be aware of. To create awareness, and to spread consciousness to save our planet, English becomes an important tool to connect with others all around the world. Students need to challenge themselves in their classrooms in order to spread the word in their future as college students and as citizens of the world. Right now, 10th graders know exactly what their job is: express what is happening in our surroundings, and express the difficulties we are facing. For that purpose, this group of teenagers expressed their ideas through arts and talked about this with their peers. By setting a “climate change awareness” room, they showed the rest of the school that we can be positive agents in our society.
